Ilona Maher Sets Her Sights on Alan Bersten as Bachelorette Producer

In an exciting twist for reality TV fans, Olympian Ilona Maher is eager at the prospect of becoming the next Bachelorette, and she wants her Dancing With the Stars partner Alan Bersten on board as her producer. In a light-hearted conversation after the semifinals of DWTS season 33, Maher jokingly declared to Us Weekly that Bersten would bring his magic behind the scenes to ensure she meets the “good guys.”

While Maher playfully denied that the professional dancer would be vying for her affection as a contestant, Bersten made it clear that they are committed to supporting each other in their respective journeys. “I’m gonna be the producer making sure we got good guys for Ilona,” he quipped.

Furthermore, former Bachelor Joey Graziadei has also shown his support for Maher. He shared thoughts on her potential Bachelorette role, saying he wanted to provide her with training for the position, adding that he’s heard plenty of fans advocating for her to take the lead.

Maher entertained the image of Bersten directing her season, humorously saying, “He’s gonna bring his director chair in there. ‘Right, cut, we need a new one!'” However, she has yet to receive an official offer for the Bachelorette gig and admitted she hadn’t kept up with the show recently. When asked if she could handle dating thirty men on camera, Maher joked about preferring to pursue romance off-screen. “I just want to go in, and they tell me, ‘OK, you have to choose one.’ What do you mean I gotta choose?” she laughed.

To add to the pressure, Maher joked that remembering thirty suitors would be quite a feat, admitting, “There’s no way I could get married or remember all their names.”

In another humorous exchange, Maher revealed her ideal partner must be at least six feet tall, although she’s not overly particular about whether he has been following her DWTS performances. “Maybe if he’s watching, hopefully he’s just watching tonight’s dance,” she said, referring to a recent performance.

As for Bersten, he hopes Maher finds someone who is “caring and loves her.” He noted that a good relationship would also involve a shared appreciation for food, as that’s crucial for both of them.

Graziadei praised Maher’s capabilities, stating, “If she gets that opportunity, I think everyone knows she would crush it.” With the DWTS season finale approaching, Maher and Graziadei remain focused on their current competition, set to air on ABC soon.

This playful banter and camaraderie between Maher, Bersten, and their fellow competitors showcase the excitement surrounding a possible future for Maher as The Bachelorette, leaving fans eager for what’s next.
