Joe Exotic Appeals to Trump for Pardon, Offers to Be Federal Fish and Wildlife Director

Joe Exotic Sends Plea to Donald Trump from Prison, Seeks Pardon and Cabinet Position

In a surprising move from behind bars, Joe Exotic, the notorious star of Netflix’s “Tiger King,” has reached out to former President Donald Trump, urgently requesting a pardon and even suggesting a role in Trump’s potential cabinet. As he continues to serve his lengthy sentence at a Fort Worth, Texas prison, the 61-year-old Exotic has expressed his desire to prove his innocence and secure an earlier release.

Exotic, currently scheduled to remain incarcerated until 2036 following his 2019 conviction for two murder-for-hire counts and numerous wildlife-related offenses, has indicated immense fear over the possibility of Democrat Kamala Harris ascending to the presidency. In a letter that has surfaced, he implores Trump to honor his campaign promises, which included a commitment to pardon individuals like himself, stating, “A lot of people went to bat for you in 2021 who have been living in hell ever since.”

The issues raised in Exotic’s letter highlight severe conditions within the prison system, as he details the struggles faced by himself and fellow inmates, including solitary confinement and tragic instances of suicide. Exotic’s legal team is actively working to appeal his conviction, citing newly uncovered evidence that they allege showed flaws in his original trial that, if known, would have led to an acquittal.

If granted a release, Exotic has lofty ambitions and proposes to serve as the new Federal Fish and Wildlife Director. He criticizes former leadership in the department, claiming they prioritized their own interests over wildlife conservation, and believes he can bring needed reform. “Hundreds of millions of dollars are being wasted within this department… The Endangered Species Act was intended to protect animals and their habitats, not to create monopolies benefitting select individuals,” he argues.

As his legal challenges loom, Exotic appears determined, even going so far as to propose to a fellow inmate named Jorge Marquez while incarcerated, ending a relationship with an outside fiancé in an unusual twist befitting his reality star persona. Joe’s story continues to captivate audiences, and with his request for presidential support, he remains a figure of intrigue, both in and out of prison.
