Ruth Langsford reveals she’s been ill and hasn’t eaten much for days.

Ruth Langsford Offers Health Update on Instagram, Shares Struggles with Illness

Ruth Langsford has turned to Instagram to provide her followers with a concerning health update, revealing she has not stepped outside her home for several days. The television personality has faced a tumultuous time recently, having publicly separated from her husband Eamonn Holmes after 14 years of marriage. This week, she disclosed that she has been under the weather with a mystery illness she described as “the lurgy.” Thankfully, she seems to be on the road to recovery.

On October 9, Ruth shared a video on her Instagram Story walking her beloved dog, Maggie. She expressed her relief in leaving the house for some fresh air after a few days of feeling unwell. In her post, she mentioned, “I’ve had a couple of days at home with the lurgy but feeling better today so I ventured out for a stroll with Maggie. Nice to get some fresh air.”

In a follow-up video, Ruth opened up about her lack of appetite during her illness. Alongside a clip of her classic meal of sausage, chips, and peas, she wrote, “Haven’t eaten much for a couple of days so I’ve gone old school dinner! SO hungry!” In another video, she reminisced about her childhood school meals, raving about the “delicious” Bisto instant gravy granules.

Ruth, who separated from Eamonn in May, was previously married to him since 2010. The couple shares a son named Jack. Their split was unexpected and caught many off guard, especially considering their long history of working together. Reports suggest Eamonn may have started a new romance after their separation, with rumors circulating about his relationship with counselor Katie Alexander, whom he allegedly met on social media back in 2015.

As Ruth navigates this challenging phase, her fans are wishing her a swift recovery.
