Travis Kelce recently expressed that his girlfriend doesn’t need to attend all his NFL games, a sentiment that’s gaining attention again as Taylor Swift has missed two games in a row. In a flashback interview from 2016, Kelce made it clear that he doesn’t expect his partner to be present at every game. He explained, “If you’re dating a professional athlete, I do not believe, at least for me, that you have to go to all the games.” He further detailed that with 8 home games, 8 away games, plus playoffs, it’s unrealistic to expect even close family to be in attendance for every match-up.

This conversation arises amidst speculation about the couple’s relationship, as Swift attended the first two games this season in Kansas City but notably skipped the recent road games in Atlanta and Los Angeles. Sources indicate that their relationship remains strong despite these absences.

Revisiting the clip, Kelce was promoting his former reality show “Catching Kelce,” during which he originally met his ex, Maya Benberry. While he doesn’t insist on constant attendance, he did share that when she is at the game, her support as a cheerleader is important. “I need her to cheer when we’re doing awesome, just to make sure that look is being presented to everyone,” he remarked, suggesting that the emotional support is what truly counts.
