Devon Walker Speaks Out on Pete Davidson Comparisons
By Kaitlin Simpson
Devon Walker, a cast member from Saturday Night Live, has addressed the ongoing discussions surrounding the physical similarities between him and comedian Pete Davidson. During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly at the American Museum of Natural History Gala in New York City on December 5, Walker, 33, remarked, “There’s been a long-running rumor that people think I look like Pete Davidson. I’ve tried to combat that for quite some time.”
He highlighted the multitude of social media posts suggesting he and Davidson, 31, share similar facial features. Interestingly, both comedians stand tall at 6-foot-3—a fact Walker was eager to clarify, saying, “People don’t realize I’m tall. I’m 6-foot-3. I’ve seen some misinformation about my height, so let it be known.”
Walker, who joined SNL after Davidson’s departure, remarked on the comparisons, noting that while he may not see the resemblance himself, he takes it as a compliment due to Davidson’s impressive dating history. He humorously reflected, “People really want to be with that guy, so I guess that’s flattering.”
The two comedians share a common SNL connection, but they were never main cast members at the same time. Davidson made his debut on the show in season 40 in 2014 and left after season 47. Meanwhile, Walker joined the following season, with many fans quickly observing the similarities not just in looks but in their laid-back personalities.
Previously, in a March 2023 interview with GQ, Walker commented on the likeness for the first time. Since Davidson returned to SNL for a hosting gig in season 49, the pair finally had the opportunity to share a stage, and Walker even posted a photo of them together after Davidson’s latest appearance on the show, jokingly suggesting that the conversation about their resemblance should come to a close.
Fans have expressed their thoughts on social media with humorous comments, with one user quipping, “Those ears, that nose, somebody call MAURY,” while another remarked on their near-identical appearances, saying, “Having a twin off, I see.”
As conversations about both Walker and Davidson continue to flourish, it’s clear that their shared experiences and charm contribute to their newfound connection and the public’s fascination with their comparison.
